Card values reflect console-market prices and update live against the coin rate. When the market swings hard, the price may change slightly.

Card out of reach? You get coins with a bonus
Once in a while - and it really is rare - the price range imposed by EA does not line up with a player's actual worth: the upper limit is lower than what the card genuinely trades at, which makes buying it on the console transfer market impossible. That never works against you - in that case we send coins matching the card's value, increased by a 10% bonus, to your account. The order gets fulfilled and you decide what to spend the coins on.
