FIFA 22 SHAPESHIFTERS: EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW PRIOR TO RELEASE
The recent Team of the Season promo can surely be considered as one of the most popular of the year. Thankfully it’s not the final one, and while there are still a few FUT 22 promos left to release, the Shapeshifters one is confirmed to be the next coming event!
With that said, our team gathered everything you must know about the Shapeshifters prior to its release, featuring all the recent leaks and key info that you can use to your advantage.
SHAPESHIFTERS EXPLAINED
There’s a lot of nostalgia to Shapeshifters and all stars on the sky point that the next one is going to be a biggie! That promo was last seen in FIFA 20 and from the perspective of time proved to be very well received. Then, sadly, it did not feature in FIFA 21, but with all that time passed now, it’s all set to make a huge return to FIFA 22 Ultimate Team.
Having played in FUT 20 when Shapeshifters was released or by catching up what was it all about, there’s comfort in knowing of what sort of mechanics we may expect to enjoy soon. The promo players are most likely to receive boosts to their stats, features (e.g. SM/ WF, updated attributes, work rates) and changes impacting their base positions. Two years ago, there were two teams released, so this year we could also see a two weeks long campaign happening and double dosage of players.
On that note, it’s wise to remember that we all are at a very late stage in the Ultimate Team 22 and this demands for CRAZY CARDS to be distributed from EA to FIFA player base!
PLAYER LEAKS AND MORE!
Trying to predict the Shapeshifters’ team is really anyone's guess. That is why, in this regard, we decided to rely on a well-renowned FUT leaker - @FutSheriff, and share with you whatever is must-know and latest.
The leaks aren’t a guarantee to be true of course, but keep in mind that the leaks we follow once again proved correct, as Shapeshifters promo has been confirmed by EA with a new loading screen.
Like in FIFA 20, we expect to see a team released into packs, an objective player (or two) being available at the start of the event, but also a few SBCs to show up throughout the whole period of Shapeshifters.
Meanwhile, info regarding an objective player have already been leaked, just take a look:
As for other player leaks, the first ones include Carrasco from Atlético Madrid, Felipe Anderson from Lazio (which are rumored to be available via SBC), as well as Lionel Messi from PSG and many more! We’ll of course wait and see if these cards will actually be added, but for now let’s have a look at what’s expected
PROMO RELEASE DATE
The Shapeshifters promo is set to launch on Friday, 17th June 2022 at 1pm ET / 6pm BST (at the same time, TOTS players will disappear from the FUT packs).
Like we mentioned earlier, the event lasted for two weeks in FUT 20 and that could happen this time as well. So better organize your time accordingly and prep for the event with us!
