FUT Gallery in FC 27: what is this new feature all about?
What is FUT Gallery in FC 27?
FUT Gallery is a permanent record of every player card that has passed through your club during an FC 27 season. It's a persistent log of cards that have come through your club, where you place them into themed Sets built around leagues, nations, clubs, rarities and campaigns, grade each completed Set for a score, and build an overall Gallery Level that unlocks rewards.
This isn't a warmed-over Collection Book from previous titles. Unlike the Collection Book, which simply tracked which players you owned, the Gallery grades themed Sets for a score, feeds those scores into an overall Gallery Level, and pays out rewards through Gallery Tokens and level milestones.
An important detail for planners: your collection starts empty. Cards collected in previous Ultimate Team titles are not imported - every FC 27 collection starts from scratch and only records eligible cards earned during the FC 27 season.
How do collections (Sets) and grading work in FUT Gallery?
The idea is simple: collect cards, fill Sets with them, then grade your collection for a score and a grade. The loop goes: collect players, complete Gallery Sets, improve Set grades, push your Gallery progress forward, earn rewards. The Gallery is split into eight categories containing 110 Sets spanning different areas of Ultimate Team - including leagues, rarities, campaigns and custom Sets - and each category holds themed Sets to complete using eligible cards already recorded in your Gallery.
A Set's grade depends on the value of the cards and on Tags. Every player card has a score based on its rating, rarity and whether it's holo, and the Gallery uses the same Item Scores as Streamlined SBC. On top of that there are bonuses: Gallery Tags act as a bonus to the current Set score based on certain achievements, and appear to be fairly straightforward - things like "TOTW" or "Same Nation" - though the final details of these bonuses and the full list of Tags haven't been confirmed yet.
Crucially, Sets don't lock after the first grade. Sets aren't locked once graded - EA says you can return to a Set throughout the season, swapping out regular gold cards for campaign items, Hero cards, Icons or holo versions and re-grade it for a higher score.
Keep in mind that a single card can work across multiple Sets at once. The same registered card can be used simultaneously in multiple compatible Sets - for example, one Declan Rice can feed both an Arsenal Set and a Premier League Set, without being removed from either collection.
What counts toward FUT Gallery? Cards ever owned
Almost every card earned through normal play counts - and it registers even after you get rid of it. Most player cards earned through Packs, the Transfer Market, Objectives, SBCs and other Ultimate Team rewards can be added, but loan items are not eligible, and Evolutions are represented by their original base card.
This is the core of the mechanic and it changes how you think about the market. Even if a card is no longer actively in your club - say you sold it on the Transfer Market or put it into an SBC - it can still count toward Gallery Sets, helping you push your Gallery Level and earn rewards. In practice: don't panic when selling cards - sold cards still count, so you're not losing Gallery value, but checking what a Set needs before you sell can help you plan around Tags like Same Club or Same Nation.
A loan item (loan item) registered from an Objective or a Pack will not be recorded in your Gallery and won't contribute to any Set. If you're building toward collections, don't count on borrowed players - you need cards you've earned outright. EA may adjust the rules and availability during the season.
Holo cards in FC 27: Regular vs Pristine
Holo cards (Holographic Items) are rarer, visually upgraded versions of special cards that carry a higher Item Score in the Gallery. Holo cards don't have better in-game stats than their standard equivalent - you don't get a faster, stronger or better version of the player; the difference is rarity and appearance. But for collectors they're a real prize: because holo cards are rarer than their standard counterparts, they count for more toward your overall Set score.
There are two variants, and which one you get depends on the card's rating. Holos are alternative versions of eligible special cards that can drop from TOTW 1 onwards - cards rated 87 or below are Regular Holographic, cards rated 88 and above are Pristine Holographic, and both carry a higher Item Score in Streamlined SBC and the Gallery. Visually: Regular Holographic cards have a standard animated foil effect, while Pristine Holographic cards add an even more premium look, including the player's name in a stylised font.
There's no point chasing both versions of the same card - there's only one. Each eligible player card gets just one holo version, either Regular or Pristine, never both - there's no pair to complete. Where to get them? Holos can drop from Packs - when an eligible special card appears, a holo version of that same card may appear too, Gallery Level milestones also give you a shot at them, and since holo cards are tradeable, you can buy them on the Transfer Market.
A player's tip: don't overpay for a holo just for your squad. If you're purely looking to improve your starting eleven, don't automatically pay a big premium for a holo version of a player you already have in standard - but if your goal is Gallery progress or collecting rare cards, the extra value can make the card more appealing, so decide first whether you're buying for the pitch or for the collection.
How does Hall of FUT work in FUT Gallery?
Base Hall of FUT cards are tightly tied to FUT Gallery - it's the only permanent source for earning them in-game. Base Hall of FUT cards are exclusive to FUT Gallery, and the Token Store is the only place where you can get one - you fill Sets and grade them to earn Gallery Tokens, then spend them, and EA updates the store throughout the year.
A quick word on the category itself: Hall of FUT is a new player card type in EA Sports FC 27 Ultimate Team, announced by EA on 23 July 2026. The inaugural class features five confirmed players: Akinfenwa, Fellaini, Rémy, Elia and dos Santos.
The chain is straightforward: to earn a Hall of FUT card for free in-game, you first need to stack up Gallery Tokens, which you earn by grading Sets. In FC 27, completing Premier League-related collections and hitting grade A could give you enough Tokens to unlock Hall of FUT players like Theo Walcott, though unlock requirements may differ between players - some may be tied to progress in specific leagues, others may require a set number of Gallery Tokens.
The specific grade thresholds, Token costs and which Hall of FUT players appear in the Token Store are all updated by EA throughout the season. Treat the numbers and names above as the state of play at launch, not a guarantee - EA can change any of it.
Collecting needs cards, and cards need coins
All of FUT Gallery comes down to one resource: cards. The better and rarer the cards that pass through your club, the higher the grades, the more Gallery Tokens you earn, and the faster you unlock Hall of FUT. And the easiest way to get highly-rated cards and holos is on the Transfer Market - which means you need coins.
Here's something worth knowing at the start of the season. Right after the Web App goes live (expected around 16.09, date unconfirmed by EA), meta player prices are usually at their lowest, because after the game launches on 25.09.2026 demand and prices climb. If you've already got coins, it pays to spend them on meta cards and Set fodder early, rather than sitting on them.
FAQ - FUT Gallery in FC 27
Conclusion
FUT Gallery turns Ultimate Team in FC 27 into a genuine collecting mode: you arrange cards into 110 Sets across eight categories, grade them and build a Gallery Level that pays out Gallery Tokens and unlocks Hall of FUT. Cards count even after you sell them, so every Transfer Market deal "works" toward your collection - but loan items are left out entirely.
The practical takeaway is simple: higher grades and faster Hall of FUT access require better cards, and the easiest way to get them is with coins - ideally early, before meta player prices spike after the 25.09.2026 launch.
