FIFA 23: WEBAPP AND COMPANION GUIDE

If you are a FUT player, have played Ultimate Team, or are just thinking about getting a club in this mode, then you must know that you can also play without having to run your console or PC. FIFA 23 will be no different, and any self-respecting UT player should benefit from access to the WebApp and Companion.

But what exactly is this WebApp and Companion? Are they really worth the effort? How and when to use them? For these kinds of questions, you'll find the answers in the below article.

WHAT IS WEBAPP?

Imagine the Ultimate Team mode only without the match-playing feature, and you will get a picture showing to a great extent what a WebApp actually is. Simply put, that is a browser application of the most popular online mode in the FIFA game series, which offers many of the main FUT features known from the game itself. In WebApp, you won't run out on the pitch, but you'll be able to focus entirely on squad building, collecting and opening packs, completing SBCs, but also on trading cards yourself - and all of that packed into a more handy and simplified interface. You can log into WebApp from any web browser (whether it's on a PC or phone) under this link here: https://www.ea.com/fifa/ultimate-team/web-app/.

With every new FIFA, access to the app gets "swapped out," so you won't end up with a scenario where you're using WebApp for FUT 22 and FIFA 23 is already out. Of course, this only applies to external apps. Ultimate Team in previous versions of the game will still be available, but only from the perspective of in-game menu in a particular FIFA, not WebApp and Companion.

WHAT IS COMPANION?

We have already said about what is the WebApp, which makes it much easier to answer the same question regarding Companion. Basically, WebApp is the same app, while Companion can only be used on iOS and Android devices. In general, all progress made in the game will be reflected in the apps and conversely. The Companion App can be downloaded at this link here for iOS: https://apps.apple.com/app/id1127108818?l=en-US, and at this link here for Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ea.gp.fifaultimate&hl=en-US. With Companion, avid gamers can enjoy a miniaturized version of FUT at school, work or out on the town. Constant access is important because the cycle of a given Ultimate Team is approximately one year long - more or less from September to September. During this time, the Ultimate Team mode in the latest version of FIFA is updated by the developers and stuffed with new content. The previous version of UT, on the other hand, is "retiring" and no longer offers so much (including WebApp/Companion access).

SEIZE THE POTENTIAL OF APPS!

If you've played or are playing in Ultimate Team 22 and intend to continue the journey in FUT 23, then you will be getting a loyalty reward. Whereas long-term wise, you will receive packs, player picks, coins and FUT Draft tokens in relation to particular events and objectives! You can collect these as well as other rewards easily and quickly through the WebApp or Companion apps. At the same time, you can manage your team or teams, trade on the transfer market, buy packs in the store, check the FUT leaderboards, and customize your stadium. The FUT Web App and Companion are also ideal for completing SBCs (which, especially at the beginning of FIFA 23, can turn out to be a goldmine). Additionally, in the first few weeks of playing Ultimate Team 23, it will be important to collect as many FIFA Coins as quickly as possible, so you can build a good team and gain an edge over others. To do this, you can keep an eye on the transfer market and buy or sell several players easily through the app. However, if you don't feel like farming coins yourself, you can always visit our store and buy FUT 23 Coins quickly and safely. In either case, you should have an active transfer market in the WebApp/Companion.

HOW TO UNLOCK THE MARKET IN WEBAPP?

Access to the transfer market is a privilege for returning players. So if you haven't played Ultimate Team before and in FIFA 23 you will be a new player or your account has previously been penalized by EA, then you will need to gain access to the transfer market in the WebApp/Companion. On that note, let us quote official information from EA's website:

"1. For a FUT account that’s in good standing and is the only account that’s been created on or logged into from a device, playing two active days would normally earn you access.

2. For a FUT account in good standing that’s not the only FUT account that’s been created on or logged into from a device, it would take at least four active days to earn access. Depending on the number of FUT accounts used on a device, it could take longer.

3. If you were banned from the transfer market, your transfer market ban won’t roll over to FIFA 23, but you’ll need to earn access again using the information above."

With that said, EA states that an active day is when you’ve played three full matches in FUT and logged into the Web or Companion App.

If you have used the transfer market in previous FIFA games, however, and your FUT account history is positive, then you will gain access to the market right from the start.

In addition, it is worth keeping in mind that there is no other way to unlock access to the transfer market in WebApp and Companion. This is only possible through actively playing in FIFA Ultimate Team in the game.

WHEN DO WE GET ACCESS TO WEBAPP 23?

Last year, the web application was launched ahead of the release of a full version of the game on Wednesday, September 22. The Companion App for smartphones was launched the next day, on Thursday, September 23.

Whereas according to recent leaks, it all looks like WebApp for FUT 23 will launch on Wednesday, September 21, the same day that the EA Play Trial is rumored to launch. While, Companion is expected to launch the next day, on Thursday, September 22

You will be able to use the app until October 17 without purchasing the game. After that, access to the app will expire and access to the full version of the game will be a requirement.

In addition, early access to the FIFA 23 WebApp and Companion App will only be available to FUT 22 players who have entered the game at least once on the WebApp and who meet the following conditions:

-the FUT club in FIFA 22 was created on the given platform before August 1, 2022, and you have logged into it in the WebApp/Companion app

-the FUT 22 account must still exist

-the FUT account must be in good standing, i.e. it cannot have received any punishments or warnings from EA
