EA Sports FC 25 - Beta Guide

The FC 25 Beta is a chance for selected players to try out the game before its official release. Each year, EA invites players to test a new release ahead of release, allowing them to give feedback on potential issues and suggest improvements. While this is not the final version and is missing some of the new features and game modes, it gives a good insight into what the game will look like.

Selected players who receive invitations to test the game are expected to provide feedback. The game's beta serves as a large-scale test for the development team, which can ask testers to focus on certain aspects. For example, in Ultimate Team mode, players are given virtual currency and asked to use it to purchase packs.

WHAT IS ALL THIS BETA ABOUT?

For players, this is the first chance to play a new game, but for EA it is much more important. FC 25 is a complex project that combines different game modes developed over time.

Different teams are working on specific parts of the game, which may or may not make it into the final version depending on deadlines, quality and other factors. This means that these teams are not always working on the next game.

Thorough testing of the entire project is crucial to ensure it works properly. Therefore, EA usually invites a group of volunteers to test the game. After making changes based on initial feedback, they release an Alpha version.

The official release of the game takes place at the end of September, often with an update to fix any bugs found after the physical copies have been printed. In between, a beta testing phase takes place.

HOW TO JOIN THE FC 25 BETA?

To join the FC 25 beta, you must receive a direct invitation. It cannot be bought or exchanged with other players. Each beta code is for one player only and cannot be shared or used on other accounts. If you see offers to buy beta invitations, know that they are not genuine, as the invitations are always linked to the owner's EA account.

Check your email inbox, the one linked to your EA account, to see if you have received an invitation. Check all email folders, including spam. If you have changed your email address or can't access the one linked to your account, update your email details to make sure you are receiving notifications.

EA sends all beta-related messages from their official email address. Mark this address as secure to make sure you receive their emails. Also check your spam, junk mail or social folders regularly so you don't miss important messages from EA. Always be cautious and do not trust emails from another address or share your login details.

After accepting the invitation, players must abide by the beta agreement, including a confidentiality clause. This clause prohibits participants from sharing any details about the game outside of the designated forum. Furthermore, live streaming and taking photos of the beta is strictly prohibited and a breach of the rules.

Failure to comply with the terms of confidentiality will result in loss of access to the current beta and any future releases. More serious cases may lead to additional measures such as copyright claims and permanent account blocking.

WHAT CONDITIONS MUST BE MET?

Not all selected FC players who have opted in to receive messages from EA will receive an invitation due to the limited number of places. The message will be sent to the inbox associated with your EA account.

To qualify, you must meet the following basic requirements:

Be at least 18 years of age
Have a PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox X|S, Xbox One or Nintendo Switch console
Play FC 24 on a regular basis
Have an internet connection
Accept the User Agreement and FC 25 Beta
Have an internet connection and an active subscription to Xbox Live Gold, PlayStation Plus or Nintendo Switch Online

HOW DO YOU INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF GETTING INTO THE BETA?

To receive a code, you must be selected. Check your inbox to see if you have been invited. Only selected players can join the beta.

Only invited players can take part in the FC25 Beta. EA will send out two sets of codes i.e. the first at the beginning of August, just before the beta starts, and the second two weeks later. Normally beta testers can download the game 24 hours before the start of the beta.

Update your contact settings:

Visit the EA website
Click the avatar icon in the top right corner and log into your account
Click your avatar again and select [Account Settings]
Go to [Email Preferences] and tick the box ‘Yes, send me emails about products, news, events and promotions in accordance with EA's Privacy and Cookies Policy’
Make sure FC 24 and Ultimate Team are ticked in the [Preferred Games] box (if not visible, click [Add More])
Check [Preferred Platforms]
Click [Update] at the bottom of the page

Update your game tester profile:

After updating your contact settings, click [Playtesting Community]
Follow the on-screen instructions to register

There's not much more you can do. Your chances aren't much better if you live near EA's offices, have played plenty of games in FC 24 or are a professional gamer. Game Advisors can't send email invitations if you haven't received them.

Remember that updating your settings may help but does not guarantee an invitation. You must first receive an invitation. The email you receive will contain a unique beta code to download the game.
