EA FC 25: Leaderboards explained
Leaderboards are a great way to track and show player rankings in competitive events. In FC 25's Ultimate Team, they're a big part of showing off what people have achieved in different game modes, like Squad Battles, Division Rivals, and the Ultimate Team mode overall.
WHAT ARE FC 25 LEADERBOARDS?
These leaderboards are more than just a ranking system. They offer a more detailed view of how players are performing. In Ultimate Team, there are four different leaderboards that measure different things. They cover both what you do in the game and what happens on the transfer market:
- Match Earnings
- Transfer Profit
- Club Value
- Top Squad
It's easy to get to the FC 25 Leaderboard from the Ultimate Team home screen. Just head to the Club tab and click on Leaderboards. There, you can check out the different leaderboards and customize your view using two filters: one lets you switch between seeing the Top 100 players or just your friends, while the other allows you to focus on either all-time records or more recent ones from the last week or month.
MATCH EARNINGS
Total coins earned from matches and game mode rewards.
Match Earnings reflect the total coins you've accumulated from playing, incorporating the value shown at the end of each match, along with any bonuses. This total is cumulative and only increases—it never decreases. Even if you experience multiple losses, you'll still earn a minimum amount of coins after each match.
A point of potential confusion arises when you delete your club and then compare it to your friend’s on the FC 25 leaderboard. Although your match history might reset, your Match Earnings remain unchanged. As a result, you may see players with higher Match Earnings despite having played fewer matches than you.
How match earnings are being calculated?
- All coins earned at the conclusion of each match.
- Additional coins awarded based on the game mode (e.g., Ultimate Team Draft, Squad Battles, Division Rivals, or Champions).
- Coins gained from coin boost items.
TRANSFER PROFIT
Coin profits from purchases, sales and discards.
Transfer Profit, simply put, are your net gains from market activities. When you make a purchase on the transfer market, the cost is subtracted from your transfer profit. Conversely, when you sell a card, the full sale price is added to your transfer profit. For example, if you buy a card for 950 coins and later sell it for 1,000 coins, your transfer profit will increase by 50 coins, even though your overall net wealth hasn’t significantly changed.
Understanding how packs affect your transfer profit is also crucial. For instance, if you currently have 2,000 coins in Transfer Profit and decide to buy a gold pack worth 1,000 coins, your Transfer Profit will drop to 1,000 coins after the purchase. If you continue buying packs, your Transfer Profit could even become negative, as it decreases by the exact value of each pack purchased.
How transfer profit is being calculated?
- The 5% EA tax is not considered.
- Transfer profit decreases with each pack purchase (it will increase again if you sell items from the pack).
- Transfer profit increases when you redeem a coin pack.
- Transfer profit also rises when you quick sell a card with a discard value greater than zero.
CLUB VALUE
The total value of all players in your club.
In short, the value you see in Club Value is equal to the sum of all of your players' RVs. This value isn't related to price ranges, with the number of coins you spent to buy the player or how much you'll sell him for.
When you make a purchase on the transfer market, the amount spent is subtracted from your transfer profit. On the other hand, when you sell a card, the full sale price is added to your transfer profit. For example, if you buy a card for 950 coins and later sell it for 1,000 coins, your transfer profit will go up by 50 coins, even though your overall wealth remains essentially unchanged.
It’s also crucial to understand the impact of purchasing packs on your transfer profit. Suppose you have 1,000 coins in Transfer Profit and you buy a gold pack worth 500 coins, storing everything in your club. Your Transfer Profit would then drop to 500 coins. If you continue purchasing packs, your Transfer Profit could even turn negative, as it decreases by the exact value of each pack bought.
How club value is being calculated?
- The players in your transfer list do not count; only the ones you have in your club do.
- It isn’t affected by managers, consumables, stadium or club’s items.
- High rated cards and special items contribute more to the club value.
TOP SQUAD
Combined chemistry and rating scores of your best squad.
The Top Squad score is a calculated figure, theoretically ranging from 0 to 132, which is derived by adding your team’s total chemistry to its overall rating. This calculation is simple, relying on the combination of team chemistry and rating.
You can easily find your Team Chemistry on the left side of the squad screen.
It's essential to recognize that the Top Squad score is based on the highest-rated squad in your club, regardless of how many squads you have or which one is currently active. For example, even if you’re using a squad rated at 60, but have another inactive squad rated at 85, the Top Squad score will still be based on the 85 rating.
How the top squad is being calculated?
- You get the Top Squad, adding the Total Chemistry to your highest Team Rating;
- Top Squad is only affected by the starting eleven and substitutes – it doesn’t depend on the reserves.
- The starting eleven’s ratings weigh more over the Team Rating.
- The Top Squad will not vary if a player item is common or rare, regular or special, as long as they have the same rating.
