FC 27 coin prices through the season: when is the best time to buy?

Golden price chart, calendar and a football on stacked coins

Short answer
Two prices matter: what coins cost in real money, and what players cost in coins. Coins are usually most expensive in the first weeks after launch. Player prices drop hardest during big pack promos such as Black Friday and just before TOTY, so having coins ready before those moments often gets you the most squad for your money.

Two prices, not one

When players talk about cheap coins, they often mix up two things. The first is the price of coins: what you pay for 100K or 1M. The second is the price of cards on the transfer market. You get the best deal when your coins buy the most of what you actually want, and that depends more on card prices than on a few cents per 100K.

How prices move through the season

1Launch and the first weeksEveryone starts from zero, so few coins are in circulation and demand is high. Coins usually cost the most now, and good cards are expensive.
2After the first weeksMore players reach the market, more coins enter the game and prices settle. A good time to build your first proper squad.
3Black Friday (late November)EA runs pack-heavy promos. Huge numbers of packs get opened, so card prices fall. Coins you already have buy more players.
4TOTY (January)The busiest time of the season. Many players sell before it starts to free up coins, so card prices often dip just before TOTY, and then demand for coins jumps.
5Spring promos and TOTSNew high-rated cards keep coming. Older cards lose value fast, which is good news if you are buying rather than selling.
6End of the seasonPrices are low, but so is the time left to enjoy your squad before the next edition.
These are patterns, not promises. Every season is a little different, and EA can change promo timing. Check the FC 27 promo calendar for dates.

Practical rules for timing your purchase

  • Buy before a big promo, not in the middle of it. When everyone wants coins at once, delivery times can get longer and the market moves fast.
  • Plan for the player, not the coin price. Check what your target costs and order that amount plus a small buffer for price changes.
  • Order big amounts a few days early. Larger orders arrive in parts with a 36-hour break between them, so give yourself time to have everything before the promo.
  • Use your loyalty bonus. Regular customers get up to 5% extra in coins or SC Points on every order. How the bonus works.
  • Watch our promotions. We run limited discount codes around big game events and announce them on the site.

Frequently asked questions
Why are coins more expensive at launch?+
In the first weeks there are very few coins in the game and many players want them at the same time. As the season goes on, more coins enter the market and prices settle.
Are PC coins cheaper than console coins?+
PC and consoles have separate transfer markets, so the prices are different. Check both on the FC 27 Coins page. You can only use coins on the platform you play on.
Should I wait for Black Friday?+
If you want players, have your coins ready before Black Friday. Card prices drop during the promo, and coins you already have go further.
Do you have fixed prices for the whole season?+
No. Our price follows the coin market and can change during the day. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay.
