FIFA 23: EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE RELEASE

There are many loudly announced games that get delayed, rescheduled, or not released at all. It's different with FIFA. Every new season brings a new FIFA game, which is almost as certain as Santa Claus' arrival.

So when will the new FIFA be released? What's in store for us? What is already confirmed before the release? We reveal here everything that any self-respecting player should know before the debut of an upcoming FIFA game.

WHEN IS THE RELEASE?

The exact release date of FIFA 23 is not yet confirmed, but according to recent leaks, it is said that it could happen on September the 30th. In recent years, the game debuted at the end of September and the beginning of October. Most often it was a Friday, so all the more reason to hope that it will come out on September the 30th, 2022. At this point, it remains to follow the latest information provided by EA.

WHEN WILL THE WEBAPP LAUNCH?

In the case of FIFA 22, the app has been available to use as early as September 22. As such, we expect that for FIFA 23, access to the WebApp and Companion will be made available about a week before the official release.

Why do we even bring this up and think it's important? Because it is thanks to the access to WebApp/ Companion that we are able to provide you with a safe transfer of FIFA Coins - whether you are buying or selling them. You can read more about this in our article on the Safest Method of Delivering FUT Coins.

HOW TO MAKE THE MOST OF EARLY ACCESS?

You already know our estimates for the release of FIFA 23, but regardless, you'll be able to play FIFA earlier. Assuming it launches on September the 30th, any player who gets early access to the game will be able to grab a controller as early as September 26th (with a pre-order of the Ultimate version) or even September 21st (with an EA Play membership)!

1. Pre-order - this way it will be possible to download and play FIFA 23 up to four days in advance. It is estimated that the possibility to purchase the game in the pre-order version will be available from June 8th to September 30th.

2. EA Play membership - this will allow any EA Play and Origin Access member to download and play a 10-hour version of FIFA 23 approximately one week prior to the game's release (including PC gamers who will be able to play the full version of FIFA without a time limit - what we assume based on how it has been done in recent years). EA Play membership is available on Xbox, PlayStation, Origin and Steam platforms.

WHAT PLATFORMS/SERVICES WILL SUPPORT FIFA 23?

In terms of platforms, we are already sure that EA will not ignore any console here.

✓ PlayStation 4 and 5

✓ Xbox One and Series X/S

✓ PC and Stadia

✓ Nintendo Switch

It was recently confirmed that for FIFA 23, PS4 and Xbox One consoles will receive the old-gen version, while PC platforms, Stadia and the newest consoles (i.e. PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S) will receive the next-gen version. For the Nintendo version, there is also rumor of a Legacy Edition - more is not known at this time.

We're also assuming that the new FIFA edition, just like FIFA 22, will be included in Xbox Game Pass and PS Plus subscriptions a few months after its release (most likely around the time when TOTS teams are released) - thank to which it will be possible to play it without having to pay the full price.

DEMO, BETA, OR MAYBE FREE-TO-PLAY?

A year ago we didn't get a FIFA demo, so it's hard to say how it will be with FIFA 23 - it's possible that the scenario will repeat itself. However, like every year, a Beta of the game will probably be made available and in order to gain access to it, there will be a requirement to sign up for it before the deadline. We don't know more at this point, but we're strongly hoping for a Beta because despite EA's restrictions, Beta testers are sharing a lot of interesting information. In terms of Free-to-Play, we don't expect fireworks, either. Konami's eFootball, the successor to Pro Evolution Soccer, had a very unsuccessful start where nothing went according to their plan. Meanwhile, the future of another competitor i.e. UFL is unpredictable at this point. Therefore, we don't think EA will change anything in their concept, at least not before the release of FIFA 23.

WHAT IT WILL LOOK LIKE PRICE-WISE?

EA has plans to release different editions/versions of FIFA 23 (it also cannot be ruled out that EA will not introduce new versions of the game this year) and all indications are that the price of the new game will be very similar to its predecessor.

It is possible that for access to FIFA 23, the amount to pay will be ranging from 59.99 to 69.99 USD. However, it should be remembered that the mentioned price range is not confirmed and may still change.

When it comes to microtransactions, i.e. FIFA Points, we assume that EA's pricing policy will remain unchanged and that buying FIFA Coins will simply be more affordable. That's why you can rest assured that we're constantly working to bring you the best deals possible, and it will be no different for FIFA 23.
