FIFA 23 RULEBREAKERS: EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
Rules are made to be broken - that's the simplest way to sum up what the Rulebreakers cards have in store for FUT players in the latest promo. Though it's a promo that has already debuted several times in previous Ultimate Team editions, it still brings up excitement.
What is the Rulebreakers promo all about? What kind of cards are they? Is it worth shrinking your wallet to add them to your team? Read on, and you'll find out all about it.
WHAT'S THE DEAL WITH RULEBREAKERS?
As part of the Rulebreakers promotion, the given players receive boosted stats, making them significantly different from their standard cards in FUT. They also receive a boost for their overalls.
For the sake of example, let's take someone like Pique (FC Barcelona) - source @FutSheriff. His basic gold card has a low pace of only 56 points and a high defense of 84 points. On the other hand, his new Rulebreakers card boosts his defense a bit, but makes it much faster with the additional 27 pts, thanks to which Pique has now a whopping 83 pace! Add to that the Shadow chemistry style, and you’ll get a very fast defender with a pace of 91, a very good defense of 95 pts and improved dribbling, physicality and passing - this is what you call a tuning! That's why the Rulebreakers are in demand, as they can turn the tide of plenty matches in your favor if you only play with such cards.
LOOKING AT THE FIRST TEAM OF THE WEEK
On October 14 of this year, the Rulebreakers team 1 was added to the packs. Below, we list all the names that were featured on the promo cards:

In addition, as part of the 1st Rulebreakers mini-release, EA Sports has added 3 more special cards i.e. David Alaba 88 (Real Madrid) and Romain Faivre 86 (Olympique Lyon), which can be obtained through limited time SBCs, and Paulinho 84 (Bayer Leverkusen), which can be obtained through Objectives. So if there is a player in the Rulebreakers team 1 that fits your squad by league or nationality, then maybe that's the card you should include next. If not, it's very likely that in the team 2 you will find something for yourself - after all, practically all of these cards are monsters!
WHEN AND HOW TO GET PROMO CARDS?
During the Rulebreakers promotion, the given cards will be added to the game according to the following schedule:
-Team 1 will be available in packs from 14.10.22 to 21.10.22
-Team 1 mini-release will be available in packs from 16.10.22 to 21.10.22
-Team 2 will be available in packs from 21.10.22 to 28.10.22
-Team 2 mini-release will be available in packs from 23.10.22 to 28.10.22
Accordingly, FUT players will receive a lot of interesting cards, which will be available to get in packs, Objectives, SBCs, and of course to buy them on the transfer market. We know from experience that opening packs in bulk rarely pays off, because you risk the number of coins you have, and in return you can gain practically worthless cards. That's why buying cards directly rather than packs is a safer choice.
